Bio
Claire has experience representing corporate clients in an array of matters in both state and federal courts. Her products liability practice includes the defense of manufacturers of consumer products, prescription drugs, and medical devices. Claire’s railroad practice includes the defense of employee lawsuits arising under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act and the defense of grade-crossing accidents.
Claire plays an integral role in our science and expert teams. She has prepared presentations for clients, national teams, and international counsel on key scientific issues arising in litigation. In the mass tort setting, she has experience developing teams of scientific experts and preparing experts for deposition and trial testimony.
Claire has also worked with national trial teams to prepare demonstrative evidence for use at trial and in jury exercises.

Member of trial team which obtained defense verdict in bellwether trial of federal multi-district pharmaceutical products liability action
Member of trial team which obtained defense judgment in bellwether trial of mass consolidated pharmaceutical products liability ligation in state court
Second chair in bench trial in which defense judgment was obtained on premises liability claims
Successful removal of products liability litigation based on diversity jurisdiction
Taking depositions of plaintiffs, physicians, and fact witnesses
Briefing dispositive motions in national mass-tort products liability action on a variety of grounds, including prescription/statute of limitations, preemption, Daubert or Frye grounds, causation, lack of defect, and Iqbal/Twombly
Preparing company and 30(b)(6) witnesses for depositions and trial testimony in a mass-tort setting
