Guests and dignitaries alike gathered Aug. 28 to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the City Court of Slidell. The event honored the history of the court and its associates, and their service to eastern St. Tammany Parish.

City Court of Slidell Judge James “Jim” Lamz hosted the celebration at the courthouse, located in Slidell’s Olde Towne district on Bouscaren Street. Featured speakers included Gus Fritchie III, who represented his grandfather and father, Gus Fritchie Sr. and Gus Fritchie Jr., who were the first two City Court of Slidell judges.
