​After a day-long bench trial, in the 19th JDC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Claire Noonan and Ed Trapolin obtained a defense judgment in favor of an apartment building owner, the management company, and their insurer. The trial court held that the plaintiff failed to carry his burden of establishing the existence of a defect in exterior stairs and prior knowledge by the property owner of a defective light in the area.
